English Journey
by Mr. David & Mr. D
David is a British national of national origin and a TEFL certified co-principal, and has been with us since we opened in 2017. David was privately educated in England and born in Yorkshire.
He has lived in Indonesia since 2014, in Jatibening, Batam and Bali. Prior to joining ELC, David lived and worked as Director of Sales & Marketing at a media company in Santiago, Chile and served as Director of Operations for an Oil & Gas company, Marine EPC in Batam. She oversees all English classes including in particular IELTS preparation, Level 4 youth/adult courses, Level 5 youth/adult courses at ELC, as well as basic and intermediate Spanish courses.
Armed with Managerial and Director experience (in Oil & Gas, Marine, Sales, Hospitality, Finance, Retail and Banking), David also plans and teaches the Corporate English and Training programs being run by ELC. In his spare time, David enjoys playing rugby, cricket, squash, golf, badminton, tennis and traveling. Apart from that, he is a fan of Formula 1 and MotoGP.

Mr. D is an English instructor specializing in adult classes, focusing on breaking down communication barriers and building self-confidence. With a supportive and relaxed approach, he helps students move beyond rote grammar memorization to confidently expressing their ideas naturally and clearly.
French Journey

This sweet teacher is one of the brightest teachers who graduated from French Literature from the University of Indonesia.
She is one of the permanent teachers at ELC and has joined the big ELC family since 2015. Many ELC graduates have been able to develop their French language skills so that they are able to study in France, thanks to his natural gift for instruction.
Germany Journey

Lisa is compassionate teacher graduated from Padjadjaran University in German Literature and attended a German language course at the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, Stuttgart – Germany. Experience teaching since 2014 both in language education institutions and privately. Until now she has accompanied many students to study or work and live in Germany.

Frau Lyly is a German language educator and a graduate of the State University of Surabaya, boasting over 25 years of teaching experience, including more than a decade at SMAK Stanislaus and SMAK Santa Maria Surabaya. Beyond her strong academic background, her 10 years of professional experience with German and Dutch companies in Bali adds a practical dimension to her lessons. Known for being exceptionally patient and structured, she is an expert in guiding students of all ages, from children to working professionals.
Korean Journey

Mandarin Journey
